LOA 22-04 Gas Storage Reservoir Engineers

ESC welcomes the Gas Storage Reservoir Engineering line of progression members as they are integrated into our collective bargaining agreement. This agreement allows for increased compensation and improved working conditions for these new members.


LOA 22-10 Standards Adherence Technician Line of Progression

This agreement addresses a misalignment in job duties that resulted from the combining of classifications agreed to in LOA 19-02. LOA 22-10 cancels and supersedes LOA 19-02.


LOA 22-12 Vacation Sales to Offset Overpayment of Wages

This agreement provides greater flexibility and options to workers in addressing repayment when issues related to alleged overpayments arise. Rather than deducting overpayments from future wages or paying by personal check, workers can instead opt to use vacation hours to remedy the overpayment issue. Note that the company may not unilaterally access workers’ vacation accounts under this agreement.


LOA 22-08 ESC Overtime Provisions during EOC activation

This is an agreement with management to treat POT like EOT during major electric events (opening of an Operations Emergency Center). ESC-represented classifications in Construction, Estimating, Mapping, and Service Planning will now receive the same rate of pay as members called in to support emergency response & restoration. This is an improvement to the double-time (2X) rate of pay when ESC members volunteer to work planned emergency work as opposed to the prior compensation of straight time & one half (1.5X) rate of pay for POT when supporting an emergency. The agreement is retroactive to December 13th, 2021.


LOA 22-07: ADE Staffing Agreement

This LOA is an agreement to staff vacant Associate Distribution Engineer – Electric positions in an expeditious manner, with priority given to specific locations outlined in the agreement.


LOA 22-06: East Bay HQ Relocation

This agreement outlines plans to consolidate three East Bay headquarters locations, including provisions to cover the reassignment of ESC-represented employees to other headquarters locations.


LOA 22-01 Hiring Flexibility and Hiring Hall Conversion

This agreement is to fill any vacant entry-level Estimating positions through the unrestricted appointment process, with every fifth (5th) vacant position filled by the contractual bidding procedures, through calendar year 2022. Also modifies Exhibit C, Hiring Hall, so that by mutual local agreement, a Hiring Hall employee may be converted to a regular status classification.


LOA 21-21 Juneteenth as a Company Holiday

This LOA adds Juneteenth as a paid holiday, effective 2022.


LOA 21-20 Decommissioning Work Flexibility

This agreement establishes a pilot program to ensure that ESC-represented employees perform portions of the work associated with decommissioning the Diablo Canyon Power Plant. This agreement runs through August 31st, 2022, with an option to extend it to December 31st, 2022.


LOA 21-19 Sr. Estimators Checking Work Agreement Extension

This agreement extends LOA 20-20, which allows Senior Engineering Estimators to check the work of Engineering Estimators and other Senior Engineering Estimators, through December 31, 2022.
