The recent resignations of the Director and Technical Coordinator (TC) at Mercy Hospital of Folsom has left ESC Local 20 members picking up the slack. Dignity management asked for CLS volunteers to take on many of the TC duties to ensure compliance with a projected CAP on-site inspection in 2017. The Union requested a meeting to address concerns around these added duties and discuss measures to ensure workload would be manageable. Dignity management outlined the plan for the next few months and agreed to enhance the communication with Lab staff. Additionally, Dignity agreed to retro and continuing supplemental pay for those “working in a higher classification” until replacement staff are hired.
