We are thrilled to announce the results of the recent vote on the Sympathy Strike. ESC Kaiser members have spoken loud and clear, with an overwhelming majority in favor of taking a stand.

Medical Professionals Unit (Clinical Lab Scientists and Medical Lab Technicians, Genetic Counselors and Genetic Counselor Coordinators, and Home Health Therapists): 94%

Optometry Unit (Optometrists and Optometric Assistants): 96%

We’ve shown the power of unity, and now, it’s time to stand with our sisters and brothers at SEIU-UHW and other unions in the Coalition, just as they support us every day at work. Get ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with 85,000 Coalition sisters and brothers to show Kaiser that we are united and won’t stand by while it refuses to bargain in good faith.

The sympathy strike dates are from 6:00am on Wednesday, October 4th, to 6:00am on Saturday, October 7th, 2023.

You will receive an email soon with information on signing up for your sympathy strike shift.

Join our Town Hall next Monday, October 2nd from 6-7pm where we will discuss critical updates on national bargaining, the sympathy strike vote, understanding your rights, and next steps. You don’t want to miss it!

Thank you for your participation and for making your voice heard. Together, we stand united for a better future.

In Solidarity,
