Today marks the 70th anniversary of ESC’s first Contract, and that first Contract was the ESC-PG&E Contract. That Contract took many years of struggle to achieve. 

This year is a bargaining year for that first ESC Contract. On the eve of that bargaining, it is important to contemplate all the effort over the years that resulted in the Contract that we know today, which provides for the terms of our benefits, compensation, and a voice in our workplace. Having considered what it took to win our first Contract, let us resolve to unite in our efforts so that we will achieve a Contract that preserves and expands our rights. It is our hope that we will be able to achieve that Contract by working with the Company in a spirit of collaboration to advance our mutual interests.
