ESC Overwhelmingly Votes Yes on Historic Tentative Agreement

We did it! ESC voted to ratify the historic national agreement and ESC’s four local agreements.  We are pleased to share the final vote tallies, which reflect overwhelming support for the strong contracts we were able to negotiate with our Union’s collective power. See the vote results below.

National Bargaining Agreement Vote Results

  • 98% yes!

Local Bargaining Agreement Vote Results

  • CLS: 95% yes!

  • Home Health: 96% yes!

  • Optometry: 99% yes!

  • Genetic Counseling: 100% yes!

While we celebrate a significant milestone and show ESC unity, we eagerly await the results of the other Coalition Unions’ ratification votes to see if they have also voted to approve the National Agreement.

If other Coalition Unions also approve the tentative agreement, the National Agreement will go into effect with:

  • Across the Board raises representing the largest raise package in the history of the Kaiser Labor/Management Partnership.

  • 6% in October 2023

  • 5% in October 2024

  • 5% in October 2025

  • 5% in October 2026

  • A ratification bonus of $1,500 for each worker if the contract is ratified by all Coalition Unions.

  • No takeaways or changes to our local agreements.
