All ESC Local 20 members should have received two wage increases in 2016: a 3% across-the-board increase when the contract was ratified in April and an increase as a result of moving to the new salary scales.

After months of actions and perseverance, ESC Local 20 members at Sonoma County secured a strong new contract. 3% COLAs plus additional equity increases for many different classifications coupled with major improvements to health care coverage and cost resulted in major improvements for members and their families.
The SF Legal Aid Society staff show that, “by forming unions, non-pro workers can secure a seat at the table where decisions are being made about priorities, allocation of resources and funding sources.”
Votes in the 2016 Executive Board election for the offices of Secretary/Treasurer and Vice-President/PG&E Unit were counted at the ESC Hall on November 30. Results are can be found below. Thanks to the members who served on the Election Committee and to all who voted.
Currently Clinical Lab Scientist members at Regional Medical Center are facing increased testing without correlating staff increases which could be putting patient care at risk. CLS play a vital role in quality patient care. Members are committed to not doing more than what would be safe for patients.
