2022 Medical Professionals Unit Election Notice – Nominations Now Open!
In accordance with the Medical Professional Unit constitution of ESC Local 20, the following positions on the Medical Professional Unit Board are open for election: Vice President, Treasurer, District Directors 2, 4, and 6.
Hundreds of ESC members show up for Local 39 sympathy strike
We are calling on all ESC Local 20 members at Kaiser to join our union siblings at SEIU-UHW and OPEIU Local 29 in authorizing a 24-hour sympathy strike starting November 18th at 7 a.m. in support of Stationary Engineers, Local 39, who have been on strike since September 18th. Electronic ballots go out November 8th — don’t wait, vote as soon as you get your ballot!
In Memory of PG&E Steward Jim Hopkins
ESC Local 20 is saddened to learn of the passing of brother Jim Hopkins, a retired Gas Associate Distribution Engineer with PG&E in Oakland and respected union leader at Local 20, on October 11th.

ESC Local 20 Delegates are getting ready to join the IFPTE Convention next week on August 9th and 10th! Delegates will vote on resolutions and amendments to the IFPTE Constitution, attend trainings, and elect the International officers.
Eden Clinical Lab Healthcare Heroes Deserve a Fair Contract!
We are Clinical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians and we are proud to work at Eden Medical Center, where we remain committed to providing award-winning care for our patients, but our contract expired 7 months ago and Sutter refuses to settle with us for the wages we deserve and without takeaways. As the entire country and world celebrates health care workers and shows their tremendous respect for our work, we ask Sutter to do the same.
In Remembrance of Longtime ESC Steward, John Davidson
We are saddened to learn that longtime steward for PG&E, John Davidson, recently passed away. John was a strong and loyal supporter of ESC and a great friend. He will be deeply missed by all.
